January 20, Martynova Hanna Ivanivna celebrated her 90th birthday, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, wonderful teacher, the first head of the department of methodology of mathematics and informatics.
In the old column hall, Door Open Day at the Institute of Education, Science and Physical Culture, Sports and Rehabilitation has been officially celebrated. Graduates of sports schools, sports clubs, federations of sports, high school students of general secondary education institutions have been invited to the festival. The events have been attended by city and region leaders in the field of physical culture and sports, sports school directors.
At the end of 2018, students of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky won the 1st place among higher education institutions by conducting regional student sports games. According to the results of the regional festival-competition of amateur art among higher education institutions, the university students also have taken the first place.

December 27, 2018, the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute" of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky held a festive event "Ukrainian New Year ", which was attended by Ukrainian and foreign students, students and teachers of the Chinese language courses.
December 28, 2018, the Rector of Ushynsky University Olexii Ya. Chebykin and the leadership of the Educational and Cultural Center “Confucius Institute” visited the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Odesa on the occasion of the greetings of the diplomatic corps of China with upcoming New Year holidays.
Ushynsky University has presented a unique educational and methodological course "E-Governance and E-Democracy" in 15 parts, prepared with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation within the framework of the program "E-Governance for the Accountability of Government and Community Participation" implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation and the InnovaBridge Foundation jointly with the State Agency for E-Government of Ukraine.
