On October 14, we celebrate more than one holiday. But all these commemorative dates are about defending our faith: in freedom, in unity, in independence. And most importantly, about our right to determine our own path. The struggle for the right to be Ukrainian has been going on for centuries. And we continue to fight until now!
Ukrainian Heroes continue to defend our freedom, state integrity, our land, our sky and our people. And now - the defense of our country is the defense of the entire modern European world.

On the occasion of The Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine, on the initiative of the students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, a collection of charitable contributions was opened, to which students and teachers joined. 

On October 14, 2022, within the framework of patriotic educational work, scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Biology and Health Care of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky", namely associate professor Filiptsova Kateryna Anatoliivna and senior teacher Dyshel Galyna Oleksandrivna, held a curatorial an hour dedicated to the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine.

The first-year students of the Faculty of Music and Choreography with the curator O.M. Kalyuzhna visited the library of Ushynsky University. 

In order to implement protocol No. 10 of the meeting of the State Commission on Technological and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations on September 12, 2022 training there was conducted a training to study the risks associated with explosive or suspicious objects, the rules for handling such objects, fire safety and actions in the event of a chemical and radiation threat with the involvement of university students by specialists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa region.

On October 12, Ushynsky University hosted a training on providing first aid by representatives of the "Red Cross" organization for students and employees of the university.

On October 12, 2022, Ushinsky University hosted the ceremonial opening of the "Business Bridge" program, which is a component of the "Always Near" international project, which is implemented with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). "Business Bridge" is an educational program for veterans of the ATO/JFO/Russian-Ukrainian war and their family members, forced migrants (internally displaced persons), aimed at developing their business skills for further integration into society and thus strengthening the social cohesion of the community.
