On the third Thursday in May, Ukrainians traditionally celebrate Vyshyvanka Day. Thus, on May 21, 2020, the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Primary Education, Faculty of Philology of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky within the celebration of this event prepared a thematic exhibition and video presentation "Ukrainian traditional embroidery of the Northern Black Sea Coast".

On May 21, 2020, as part of the celebration of the Day of Ukrainian embroidery at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, the 2nd round of the essay contest "WHAT PATRIOTISM AND LOVE FOR THE MOTHERLAND ARE FOR ME" took place in a remote format. The organizer of the competition of creative works on national-patriotic education of students was the Department of Pedagogy of Ushynsky University.
On May 19, 2020, the Department of Educational Management and Public Administration of Ushynsky University and the Regional Information and Resource Center for Professional Development of Socionomic Managers and Specialists held an online seminar "MANAGEMENT OF CHANGE AND CHALLENGES IN A MODERN INSTITUTION".
On the occasion of Science Day, the Department of Educational Management and Public Administration of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky co-organized a round table "Problematic issues of decentralization policy formation and implementation in Ukraine" within the framework of the Program to promote public activity "Join!", within the US-funded Community Action Program, International Development Organization (USAID) and the Pact in Ukraine.
On May 15, 2020, at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, within the framework of Doors Open Day, an online performance was given by the trainer of the Faculty of Music and Choreography, artist of Selmer Paris Hanna Stepanova.
Li Hunyan, a master's student at the Faculty of Music and Choreography (senior lecturer A.I. Mamykina), won the Grand Prix of the Stars of Ukraine International Festival-Competition, which took place on May 16, 2020 in Kyiv.
The staff of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky is deeply saddened by the heavy loss - on May 15, 2020, Martynova Hanna Ivanivna, the first Head of the Department of Mathematics Methods at Ushynsky University, passed away.
