April 14-15, 2016 at the Faculty of Psychology of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky conducted All-Ukrainian Olympiad in "Psychology", which was attended by 27 students from different universities of Ukraine.

Congratulations to Andrew Kucherenko, who won the second place. His supervisor is Olga Olegivna Vodolazka, PhD, Assistant Professor of the Department of General and Differential Psychology.

During the Olympiad a round table on "Psychological innovations in the profession" was held.

April 7-22, 2016 the methodical center of artistic and aesthetic education of children and youth of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky will hold a contest-review within nominations of Ukrainian Festival of Children and Youth "Pure dew" among vocational schools.

April 11-13, 2016 within the implementation the Fulbright Programs at SUNPU Lyle Jeremayya Kauffman, Ph.D., Professor of Correctional Education, the University of Kansas (USA) delivered lectures for students, postgraduates and teachers.

The lectures of the American scientist were devoted to social protection, legislative support, educational technologies in the fields of remedial education, social and educational work in the USA and Ukraine.

April, 12 2016 the International Scientific Seminar "Modern neuro-psycho-pedagogical technology in education, correction and rehabilitation" was held at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University K.D. Ushynsky. There were summarized the results of the international project Tempus INOVEST «Eastern Partnership in the implementation of educational innovation of inclusive education".

March 24-26, 2016 Kryvyi Rih National University. The 3d year students of the Department of History and Philosophy, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky Andreev Roman and Daria Yeliseyeva took the second place in the Ukrainian student competition on the history of Ukraine in the field of study "Philosophy" (supervisor- Associate Professor of History of Ukraine, Candidate of Historical Sciences V. Chumak).

The Department of Theory and Methods of physical culture and sports disciplines of the state institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky" provides organizing and conducting training courses for specialists in physical education working as sports coaches; leaders in the field of physical education and sports; fitness coaches; instructors in gyms; specialists in physical education for sports and recreation, work with different sectors of the population; teachers of physical culture school for children referred to the special medical groups; physical education teachers of higher educational institutions of I-II and III-IV levels of accreditation.

April 8, 2016 within the limits of the “Week of Good Deeds” a foot quest started for schools and students dedicated to the celebration of the liberation of Odessa.

A team of students of the Department of History and Philosophy of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky took part in the foot quest and also the teams of other universities of Odessa, schools and gymnasiums. Such activities help young people get to know the city's history and the events of the Second World War.
