On November 29, the Southern Ukrainian Center for the Professional Development of Managers and Socioeconomic Specialists of Ushynsky University, with the support of the Education Quality Commission of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Informatics and Management, held an online seminar on the following topics: "Distance education in Ukraine, challenges and opportunities", in the work of which was attended by teachers and students of Ushynsky University. Speaker Olha Papach, PhD in Pedagogy, senior lecturer of the Department of Mathematics Methodology and its Teaching, disclosed the issue of the legislative and regulatory framework of the organization of distance education in the educational institution of Ukraine, spoke about the trends in the development of distance education in Ukraine and the world, about the algorithm of distance learning implementation in higher education, about distance learning technologies. After Olha Papach's report, there was a lively discussion of the introduction of distance education into the educational process of general secondary and higher education institutions.
