On November 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., the webinar "Prevention and countermeasures against academic plagiarism when writing scientific papers" was held for students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Informatics and Management on the teams platform (in the "Academic Integrity" team). The speaker was the acting director of the library Oksana Maksym, the organizer is the head of the department of educational management and public administration Oksana Sakaliuk.
The students were presented with systems for checking texts for signs of plagiarism, in particular Strike Plagiarism (Ukraine), features of the procedure for checking the presence of textual borrowings, as well as the content of the similarity report and its interpretation.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the discussion of problematic situations that arise during the checking of scientific works for signs of plagiarism, as well as updated ways of preventing and countering academic plagiarism.
