On January 29, 2025, the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute" of Ushynsky University held a festive event "Chinese New Year - Year of the Green Wood Snake", which was attended by Rector Andrii KRASNOZHON, representatives of the student council and higher education students.
The welcoming speeches were delivered by Rector Andrii KRASNOZHON, Mr. Dou Zheng, the Head of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of Harbin Engineering University, Oleksandra POPOVA, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and Oleksandra MORHUN, the Secretary of the Office of the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute".
The students of Ushynsky University demonstrated their talents in dances, songs, recitation of Chinese poetry and cooking in honor of the New Year 2025 according to the Lunar Calendar - the year of the Green Wood Snake. Those present highly appreciated the traditional Chinese and Ukrainian dishes.
As part of the event, representatives of Ushynsky University administration held an online discussion with colleagues from Harbin Engineering University regarding a promising plan for the further development of educational and cultural relations between Ukraine and China.
