On April 16, 2025, the postgraduate students of the Department of Gymnastics and Physical Education and Sports Technologies of Ushynsky University in the second year of study reported on the results of completing the scientific and pedagogical practice provided for by the educational component of the program for the preparation of Doctors of Philosophy in specialty A7 Physical Culture and Sports.
The scientific and pedagogical practice according to the curriculum lasted three weeks (3 ECTS credits) and was aimed at deeply immersing postgraduate students in the realities of the professional activity of a teacher of a higher education institution. The postraduate students worked according to individual plans, studied regulatory documents, curricula, methodological materials and reporting documentation that regulate the activities of higher education institutions in modern conditions.
Each postgraduate student conducted 7 classroom training sessions within the disciplines taught by his or her scientific supervisor. One lecture and one practical session of each postgraduate student were open. Also, the postgraduate students had the opportunity to implement their own developments in the educational process within the framework of the work program, adapting the topic to the modern needs of training future specialists in physical education and sports.
Within the framework of organizational and educational work, the postgraduate students showed initiative in organizing round tables, sports events with the participation of stakeholders, and also involved students in research activities in scientific circles by the specialty.
The final stage was the demonstration of the results of scientific and pedagogical practice at a reporting conference in oral form (presentation).
