October 19, 2018, at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, an international scientific and practical conference "Cross-border cooperation: perspectives, problems, solutions" was held. The forum began on October 17, 2018 in the city of Chisinau at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova.

The organizers of the joint scientific and communicative event were the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of the Republic of Moldova (president - Professor Victor Mokanu) and South Ukrainian Branch of the Sociological Association of Ukraine (chairman - Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Socio-Cultural Activities of Ushynsky University Olena Liseenko). Among the participants in the international conference are leading sociologists, demographers, philosophers, educators, political scientists from Moldova, Poland and Ukraine, as well as students, postgraduate students and lecturers of higher education institutions.
