November 8, 2018, a scientific-methodical seminar on the topic "Possibilities of the Web of Science platform for qualitative research and teaching" was held in the library of the State institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky". The speaker is a representative of Clarivate Analytics training company, Candidate of Biological Sciences Iryna Tykhonkova.
The participants of the event were scientists, specialists, librarians, editors of scientific publications, post-graduate students and students.
At the seminar, many useful and up-to-date information on scientometric databases, analysis of scientific publications, bibliographic manager, scientific profiles of scientists, etc. have been considered.
Also, I. Tykhankova has given answers to scholars on the content of the Web of Science platform and features of the predatory scientific publication.
We hope that the information received will contribute to the effective use of the Web of Science platform and will improve the scientific achievements of our university scientists.
