During two days, May 8-9, Ukraine celebrates the Days of Remembrance and Reconciliation. Unfortunately, not only the Ukrainian people, but almost the whole world paid a high price for participating in the most terrible event of the XX century - the Second World War.

Until recently, independent Ukraine celebrated May 9 as Victory Day, which did not correspond to the historical memory of the Ukrainian people. Since 2015, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, a new tradition of celebrating May 8 and 9 as the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the Day of Victory over the Nazis in World War II has begun.

The library of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, with the participation of the student club, prepared a video greeting to veterans:
