For the first time in Southern Ukraine regionthe grand opening of the Confucius Class took place in Odesa specialized school №117 on the basis of the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute" of Ushynsky University.

On October 16, 2020, the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute" of Ushynsky University took part in organizing and conducting an online event, which was eagerly awaited by students, teachers and heads of partner educational institutions.

Thus, the participants of the ceremony were greeted by the Director of Odesa specialized school №117 Statsenko Natalia Viktorivna, the Head of the territorial department of education of Primorsky district Filler Julia Georgievna, co-directors of the Confucius Institute Popova Olexandra Vladymirivna and Tsun Chenju.

The event featured the following performances: rhythmic sketches of bright drummers, a dance of a magical Chinese dragon, a presentation of Confucius' postulates, Chinese poetry, traditional chants, etc. After the concert, students were invited to participate in master classes in Chinese calligraphy, making Chinese lanterns, and weaving knots.
