On December 15, 2021, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky hosted the opening ceremony of a new enrollment of students under the English Access Microscholarship Program (acronym). The Access program is supported by the Embassy of the United States of America in Ukraine and funded by the United States Department of State. Apart from Ushнnsky University, the public organization «Svitlo» is also a partner on the Ukrainian side.

Access provides students from low-income and socially vulnerable families, including immigrants and young people with special needs, to deepen their English language skills, learn more about the United States, its culture and values, develop leadership skills, and participate in Ukraine.
