May 2018, Ushynsky University signed an agreement on cooperation with the LLC "Anti-plagiarism". From now on, the University has the opportunity to use the online information system "Unicheck", which is intended to reveal coincidences / identity / similarities in the texts of scientific and other works, free of charge.
This will provide an opportunity to thoroughly review the texts of theses of the applicants of scientific degrees for the availability of scientific results obtained by other authors and / or reproduction of published texts, intellectual products of other authors without corresponding references. At the same time, Unicheck's use of the system will make it possible to check for scientific publications of the periodicals of Ushynsky University free of charge for the availability of text borrowing during the year.
Today, the use of anti-plagiarism software becomes a necessity to adhere to the principles of academic integrity by participants in the educational process.

The trainers of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky O. Kon, M. Sokal, K. Tambovska, Yu. Shpalarenko, who carry out the training of students in the specialty "Primary Education", at the end of May 2018, successfully completed their training at the course "Formation of Civic Competences for Future Primary School Teachers" by the Swiss- Ukrainian project "Development of Civil Competences in Ukraine - DOCCU".

May 23, "MIS USHYNSKY UNIVERSITY -2018" took place, where girls were able to show their talents to students in general. The Faculty of Philology also wasn’t an exception. The student of the first course Julia Buinovska, despite the young age, was not afraid to compete with already well-educated beauties and not badly. For her diligence, she won the title of "II VICE-MICE", "MIS ARITHISM" and "MISS PEOPLE’S CHOICE". The participant was supported by friends, the faculty and the curator of the group.

May 21, 2018, on the initiative of the Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maksym Vladimirovich Stepanov and the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Liliya Mikhailivna Hrynevich, at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, an exhibition "Arsenal of ideas of the New Ukrainian school" was held.

At the exhibition, over 30 different manufacturing organizations and institutions had an opportunity to present a variety of state-of-the-art equipment for both primary and basic secondary and specialist schools.

Ushynsky University presented the conceptual model of teacher training as an idea of ​​the New Ukrainian School, as well as various innovative developments for professional pedagogical training related to digital technologies, primarily cloud technologies and the Internet of things. At the exhibition, the University presented fragments of innovative laboratories in robotics, computer science and natural sciences, inclusive education and psychology. Students, along with students from partner schools at the University, demonstrated robots that not only performed simple teams, movements, but even danced, which aroused considerable interest from many visitors to the exhibition.

May 17-21, the student of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after          K. D. Ushynsky, Odesa, Denys Artyomchuk (52 kg) at the European Championship in Athens from combat sambo won the second place, receiving a silver medal.

Ushynsky took the 2 nd command position at the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in "Sociology", which took place in Odesa. Tetyana Gnidyuk (the scientific leader - doctor of sociological sciences, professor Liseenko O.V.) took the II place in the 2nd round at the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Sociology, the student of the magistracy in Social and Humanitarian Faculty.
The winners were awarded diplomas and received valuable gifts from the organizers, including the textbook "Political Science in Ukraine" and the monograph "The Mental Dimension of Ukrainian Civilization".

In order to attract students to the museum culture at the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky during May, educational excursions to the Odessa literary museum were organized. The innovative component of the new form of educational process was the musical accompaniment of the process of knowledge of high art - listening to classical works by J.S. Bach, A. Scriabin,   S. Rachmaninov, and others. Special interest of students and trainers was caused by the winners of international competitions A. Stepanova and V. Volkonsky (saxophone).
