Modern challenges require strengthening civic education and the development of democratic competencies among students, especially in the context of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
On March 24, 2025, within the framework of the university's "Guest Lecturer" program, a lecture was held by Liliia Ivanivna Yakovleva, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor of the Department of Sociology of the National University "Odesa Law Academy" on the topic "Political Analysis and Consulting: Sociological Methods in the Assessment and Forecasting of Political Processes".
On March 24, 2025, as part of the Greek Culture Week in Odesa, with the assistance of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture and Marketing of the Odesa City Council and in cooperation with the Municipal Art Gallery, an exhibition of creative and diploma works by graduates of the Faculty of Art and Graphics “Under the Sun of Greece” was opened in the Odesa City Council.
On March 22, 2025, the International Cultural Center "Union" hosted a solemn award ceremony for the laureates of the rating "100 Successful Women of Odesa Region: Together - to Victory!".
As part of the Academic Integrity Week, a roundtable discussion was held at Ushynsky University on March 21, 2025 on the topic: "Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity." The event aimed to initiate an open dialogue between teachers on the current challenges and opportunities facing the academic environment in connection with the active implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.
On March 21, 2025, at Odessa Lyceum No. 73 of the Odesa City Council, the Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Informatics and Management V. V. Kovalchuk and the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages O. V. Popova held a career orientation event, at which a range of current specialties and educational and professional programs implemented at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky was presented.
Last week, the Faculty of Primary Education hosted its first Game Night. It was an interesting experience.
On March 21, 2025, the students of the Faculty of Primary Education attended a guest lecture by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Primary Education and Innovative Pedagogy Mykhailo Dragomanov Ukrainian State University, Tetyana Vasiutina, on "Digital Applications in Teaching Preschoolers and Primary School Students."
