September 15-16, 2016 All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference "Implementation of continuity in mathematical education: realities and prospects" was held

June 6, 2016 the Rector of the University received the delegation of the Kingdom of Norway headed by the director of the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce Amund Miklbast. During the meeting they discussed issues of deepening cooperation in different areas of the university with educational and other institutions in Norway.

VIII Open International festival-competition of classical music and vocal "Golden Stars" founded by the Cultural Center "Pectoral" took place in the city Dnepropetrovsk. Our university at the festival-competition was represented by John Saytarly (Class of Assoc. Prof. I. A. Lebedeva) who won the Grand Prix!

The laureates of I degree became Gui Zemin (Prof. N.K.Bilova) and Wang Yue, the second place was awarded to Zhang Manlin (Class of Assoc. Prof. M.G. Demidov).

May 29-30 at the XVIII International Festival of Arts «Grand Odessa Fest» Kh Xinie won the first place in the category "Instrumental genre" (Class of Senior Lecturer N.L. Desyatnikova).

The laureates in the nomination "Academic vocal" became Daria Matienko (first prize) and Anna Marchuk (second prize) - (Class of Senior Lecturer T.G.Shafarchuk).

A 4th year student Anastasia Kucheryna (class of V.G. Kruglyakova) received the laureate title and first prize in the X International Festival of Arts Competition «Fest Music», which took place in Odessa in early June.

In 2013 the unique plates were found by the historian and the author of the book "Fortress of Belgorod" Akkerman", the head of the Department of History of Ukraine at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Andriy Krasnozhon.

As the historian said, plates are the only unique written document, clearly confirming the date of construction of the fortress.

The idea of the installation belongs to Andriy Krasnozhon.

In the period from 15 February to 20 May 2016 in the state institution "South Ukranian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky" the training was conducted for the retired Armed Forces of Ukraine and their families, on the program "Management of business activities", guided by the needs labor market requirements of the European system of quality assurance.

May 18, 2016 in order to expand international cooperation with European academic institutions the Rector of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky, Academician Olexiy Yakovych Chebykin met the representatives of the University of Hamburg (Germany) - Professor A. Redlich and lecturer Y. Zhygulina-Fahl, who were in Odessa within the implementation of the projects.

During the meeting they discussed joint international projects; academic exchanges; training and professional development of teaching staff; preparation of joint publications and others.
