BUSINESS TRIPS for scientific and pedagogical workers, employees, applicants for higher education

Issuing a business trip abroad, if the purpose of the trip is: participation in a conference, congress, meeting, negotiations, establishing cooperation, etc.

The process of issuing a business trip order takes 5 working days. Documents are submitted no later than 7 working days before the start of the business trip. All documents must be issued before the start of the business trip. Regulatory and legal framework: Order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine dated April 13, 2020 No. 155 "On approval of the Instructions on business trips within Ukraine and abroad."

The basis for starting the business trip is an invitation (certified by a certified translation specialist (in the relevant language) from among the full-time employees of the University and the human resources department or translation agency) and a memorandum/agreement/contract on cooperation between the universities /institution.

Next, you need to write an application for a business trip, signed by the initiator of the business trip, the immediate supervisor or a higher official, the dean/director under the subordination of the person on the business trip, and submit it to the International Relations Department in 10 calendar days.

The application is endorsed by the vice-rector for the field of activity in accordance with the purpose of the trip. The application, together with the relevant accompanying documents, must be submitted no later than 10 days before the trip for consideration by the rector, who makes the final decision on permission for the trip.

After approval, the International Relations Department registers the order for a foreign business trip. You must issue a "Business Trip Order" in the general department after submitting the order. You must pick up the signed and registered order in the general department.

Reporting

After returning from abroad, you must complete and submit a report within 3 business days.

Report on the results of a business trip abroad (signed by the person on the trip and their manager);

to the accounting department:

Signed "Order" with the addition of original expenses, for example: plane ticket, hotel accommodation, etc. (this applies to Grant Programs).

About the department

General information

The Department of International Relations is a functional unit of the university, which was created to implement international cooperation and external relations with foreign educational institutions, scientific institutions, international organizations, foundations, companies, public organizations, citizens, with whom relevant agreements can be concluded in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine. In its work, the Department of International Relations is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine, resolutions of the Supreme Council of Ukraine, legal acts of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the University Charter and the regulations on the department.

Regulations on the Department of International Relations of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky" 

The department performs the following main tasks, such as:

  • organizational assistance in the training of specialists for foreign countries in accordance with international agreements of Ukraine with other countries, cooperation agreements and agency agreements concluded by the university;
  • organization of joint training and academic mobility of scientific and pedagogical staff and university students in accordance with agreements concluded with foreign partners, as well as the work of volunteers and specialists in accordance with agreements with foreign non-governmental organizations and foundations;
  • timely informing the university's scientific and pedagogical staff about competitions, programs, grants initiated by international funds and organizations;
  • assistance in the implementation of scientific projects under grants received from foreign funds and in the preparation of relevant applications and reports;
  • ensuring the implementation of other types of foreign economic activity provided for by current legislation;
  • coordination of the work of information and cultural centers of foreign countries and international structures created at the university.

Scientific and scientific-technical cooperation with foreign organizations

The South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky has agreements on cooperation and scientific exchanges with many leading universities and scientific centers and foundations around the world.

Based on these agreements, academic exchanges between Ushynsky University and partner organizations are organized, joint scientific events are held, exchanges of scientific and scientific-methodological literature are exchanged, internships of students and postgraduates are conducted at partner bases, preparation and publication of scientific articles based on the results of joint research, etc.

Regulations on academic mobility of participants in the educational process of Ushynsky University


According to the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education":

Academic mobility is the opportunity for participants in the educational process to study, teach, do internships, or conduct scientific activities at another higher educational institution (scientific institution) in Ukraine or abroad.

The subjects of academic mobility, according to the program documents of the Bologna Process, are students, lecturers, researchers, and management personnel.

According to the place of realization of the right to academic mobility, it is divided into:

1 – internal academic mobility – academic mobility, the right to which is exercised by domestic participants in the university's educational process in partner higher educational institutions (scientific institutions) within Ukraine;

2 – international academic mobility – academic mobility, the right to which is exercised by domestic participants in the educational process of the university in partner higher educational institutions (scientific institutions) outside Ukraine, as well as by foreign participants in the educational process at the university.

The main types of academic mobility are:

1 – degree mobility – studying at a higher educational institution other than the permanent place of study of the participant in the educational process, with the aim of obtaining a higher education degree, which is confirmed by a document (documents) on higher education or on obtaining a higher education degree from two or more higher educational institutions;

2 – credit mobility – study at a higher educational institution other than the permanent place of study of the participant in the educational process, with the aim of obtaining credits of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System and/or relevant competencies, learning outcomes (without obtaining credits of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), which will be recognized at the higher educational institution of the permanent place of study of the domestic or foreign participant in the educational process. At the same time, the total period of study for such participants under credit mobility programs remains unchanged.

Forms of academic mobility for participants in the educational process who obtain bachelor's and master's degrees at the university are:

1 – study under academic mobility programs;

2 – language internship;

3 – scientific internship.

Forms of academic mobility for persons obtaining a doctorate degree, scientific and pedagogical, scientific and pedagogical workers and other participants in the educational process are:

1 – participation in joint projects;

2 – teaching;

3 – scientific research;

4 – scientific internship;

5 – advanced training.

International centers

The university carries out extensive outreach efforts in the region to expand international cooperation with other countries of the world, thanks to the creation of various international centers. The activities of international centers allow to significantly improve partnership relations with various universities of the world, facilitates to conducting joint symposiums, trainings, conferences, science and culture days, organizing exchanges between lecturers and students, internships, and rapprochement of cultures.
