Archaeological excavations are underway on Prymorsky Boulevard in Odesa by Ushynsky University in collaboration with the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

Currently, the presence of a powerful cultural layer from the period of Ancient Greek colonization has been proven in the southern part of the semicircular square of the boulevard, the remains of walls and foundations of defensive buildings from the Odesa period, fragments of ceramics from the times of Ancient Greek colonization, the Medieval Italian factory of Genestre, the Ottoman period, and the end of the 18th century have been found. Research is ongoing.
