On January 6, 2026, the first all-Ukrainian festival "Stusujemos" was held in Odesa, dedicated to the birthday of the outstanding Ukrainian poet and publicist Vasyl Stus. The students of the Faculty of History and Philology of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky joined this significant cultural event.
The festival became a unique opportunity for city residents to get acquainted with the figure of Vasyl Stus in a new, modern context. The organizers of the event set the goal of presenting the poet not as a stereotypical character of textbooks, but as a modern rebel artist who left a significant mark on the history of Ukrainian culture.
The students of the Faculty of History and Philology actively participated in a musical and poetic performance that united various genres and directions of art. The festival program included readings of Vasyl Stus's poems, musical interpretations of his works, as well as modern artistic performances, which allowed us to rethink the legacy of the great Ukrainian in a new way.
The event became a vivid example of how classical Ukrainian literature can sound relevant and fresh for the modern generation, inspiring young people to be creative and civically active.
The participation of Ushynsky University students in the "Stusujemos" festival testifies to the high level of patriotic education, the active civic position of students, and the desire of young people to preserve and popularize Ukrainian cultural heritage. Our students have once again proven that Ukrainian youth is strong, sincere, hardworking, and extremely talented, capable of carrying the continuation of our culture and education into the future.
