November 24-25 in the premises of the school named after Professor Stolyarsky the city festival-contest of academic singing "Odesa’s bel canto" took place. The jury of the festival-contest included well-known leading masters of vocal academic art. The People's Artist of Ukraine professor G. A. Polivanova headed the jury, she is also the head of the department of solo singing at the Odesa National A.V. Nezhdanova Musical Academy.

The title of the Ist degree laureate has been awarded to the student of the Faculty of Music and Choreography Margarita Bezchastnaya (class of T.G. Shafarchuk, concertmaster A.Yu. Turbinsky).
