On February 16-18, 2022, as part of the events dedicated to the Day of Unity of Ukraine, teachers of the Department of Defectology and Physical Rehabilitation of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky held round tables on the topics: Media Education and Media Literacy, Media Literacy and Personal Security» distantly.

The events were attended by students of the 1st - 4th years of study at the first (bachelor's) level and the 1st year after the second (master's) level of higher education, specialty 016 "Special Education".

Participants discussed and considered issues related to: fake news recognition; the content of the online course "News Literacy", aimed at spreading media literacy among the population in times of military conflict; features of socio-psychological impact of advertising on the student audience; the role of social advertising in the formation of an active civic position of student youth; media literacy as a condition for preventing making wrong decisions; media literacy and anti-fraud.
