Within the academic integrity week, the department of Germanic philology and methods of teaching foreign languages, the department of Western and Oriental languages and methods of their teaching, the department of translation and theoretical and applied linguistics held appropriate events.
The students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Project for the Promotion of Academic Integrity in Ukraine (SAIUP) and find out that academic integrity is based on honesty, decency in the performance of one's duties, trust, justice, respect and responsibility.
During curatorial discussions and presentations, the essence of academic plagiarism was considered, its types were analyzed, examples of international experience in combating academic plagiarism were given, possibilities and methods of avoiding academic plagiarism were highlighted and worked out. The students showed interest and activity in discussing the proposed issues, gave examples from their own experience of writing educational and research projects.
We draw attention to the fact that on March 14, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., according to the plan of activities for the "Academic Integrity Week", a meeting of the problem group "Actual issues of modern translation studies" was held on the topic "Advice on academic integrity for young scientists".
