On October 15, an open lecture on cyber security was held at Ushynsky University. This topic is one of the most important topics in the modern world. We live in a time when digital technologies are becoming an integral part of our daily life, work and communication. They open up many opportunities for us, but at the same time they bring new challenges, among which cyber threats occupy a key position.
The lecture was conducted by Tetyana Shmihol, the senior operational officer of the cybercrime countermeasures department in the Odesa region of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine. The questions were revealed, in particular:
- how to protect your passwords;
- the importance of two-factor authentication;
- how to recognize phishing attacks;
- what to do in case of cyber attacks on personal accounts, etc.
In addition, the participants received detailed information about the national cyber security competition CYBER SECURITY CAMP, which will be held from October 2024 to March 2025 with the support of the Cyber Police of Ukraine, the Binance company, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, and the PO “Brama”. The competition is aimed at developing cyber security skills among young people, as well as raising general awareness of digital threats.
Also, during the lecture, students had the opportunity to ask their questions and receive comprehensive answers. We thank Ms. Tetiana for her time and for helping us get to know in detail the important aspects of personal data protection at this difficult time for the country.
Protect your data, be careful and join the CYBER SECURITY CAMP.
