January 20-22, 2017 the first film festival started in Odessa dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and Ukraine, with the support of the Consulate General of China in the Odessa City Council, an educational and cultural center "The Confucius Institute" of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky.

First there was offered the film "Dishonest please do not disturb". The next day everyone had a chance to immerse themselves in China through the prism of a film projector and watch the following films: "Panda’s step", "Saving General Yang", "Monkey King". The third day of the festival started with the comedy "Journey to the West", then it was the film about true love that knows no barriers "The road to home" and the film "Under the branches of hawthorn".

Such events contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation between China and Ukraine.
