This is the opinion of the students and teachers of Odesa School #111, where scientists of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Methods of Teaching Specialties visited their Mother Language Day. The honored guests have been impressed with the enthusiasm and skill of the participants of the festive concert.
For freshmen-philologists of our university this Monday has been a landmark. They held another specialty training course in the largest book collection of the south of Ukraine. Careful hosts have prepared a wonderful program that has made it possible for students to become their own books in this temple.
On February 27, 2020, the representatives of the Psychological Service and Secretariat of the Educational and Cultural Center “Confucius Institute” of the Peoples Republic of China of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named K. D. Ushynsky took part in a vocational campaign in Odesa Gymnasium # 8 of the Odesa City Council of Odesa region.
On February 25, 2020, Minister for Veterans, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine Oksana Kolyada visited South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D Ushynsky.
During the negotiations between the Minister and the Rector, the possibilities of expanding the activities of the Center with the support of the Ministry and foreign partners have been considered.
February 24 at the library-branch №2 named after K.G. Paustovsky for the students of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky a literary and musical composition "Languages of our word - our music is alive" was held. The event was dedicated to International Mother Language Day.
On February 21, 2020, the first year students of Law and Political Science, together with an assistant of the Department of Political Science and Law S.L. Shvets, made a visit to the the Library of Ushynsky University during the Academic Integrity Week, where they were able to attend a lecture on academic integrity.
February 22-23, 2020 the city of Zhytomyr hosted the All-Ukrainian tournament on aerobics for youth, juniors and youth "Queen's Cup - 2020". The competition took place in the sports hall of Zhytomyr National Agroecological University. In addition to athletes from Ukraine, athletes from Belarus, Moldova and Turkey participated in the competition this year, with a total of 400 athletes.
Odesa region has been presented with dignity by the students – Maria Pilnevych (2nd year of study) and Sofia Bundyak Sofia (1st year of study).
In individual performances (finals) Maria Pilnevych took the 2nd place, Sofia Bundyak took the 3rd place, in the top three - 2nd place, in the group - 1st place.

February 11-22, 2020, the Ukrainian Chess Championship for juniors up to 20 years old was held in Kramatorsk. The 3rd year student of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics in the specialty 14 Secondary Education (Mathematics) of Ushynsky University Olexandr Igorovych Yurovsky took 3rd place in the competitions in classical chess, 3rd place in fast chess, 2nd place in blitz!
