On August 31, 2021, a solemn ceremony "Dedication to freshmen" of Ushynsky University’s students took place. With a welcoming speech to the freshmen Rector, Academician Olexii Chebykin greeted almost two thousand students who chose different specialties, spoke about the achievements of the university and wished them to continue the glorious traditions of higher education. The special atmosphere of the holiday was decorated by creative performances of the students of different faculties. After the official part, freshmen met with the deans of the faculties.

To the 30th Anniversary of Independent Ukraine

We invite you to participate in the first KIX Conference on Education Policy and Innovation (EPIC) for the Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which will be held online on October 7, 14 and 21, 2021, co-organized by Ushynsky University.

Pursuant to the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language", the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky" and the National Commission on State Language Standards concluded a cooperation agreement, according to which the university from 04/08/2021 begins examinations to determine the level of proficiency in the state language have been launched.

On July 23, 2021, the Consul General of Poland in Odesa, Mrs. Katarzyna Solek and Professor of the University of Warsaw, Mr. Jan Malicki, visited the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky". During the meeting, the issues of intensifying the activities of the Warsaw University Consortium with Ukrainian Free Economic Zones, which includes Ushynsky University, were discussed. Academician Olexii Chebykin paid special attention to the prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of joint projects, research and academic exchanges.

The title of the winner of the first degree at the V International Festival-Competition "Campane di Cristallo" in Odesa is awarded to Wang Xiaoxiao - a master's student at the Faculty of Music and Choreography of Ushynsky University in the nomination "Academic Vocal".

The teachers of the Department of Political Science and Law Pronoza I.I. and Rostetska S.I. during March participated in a series of training seminars "Mediation as a tool for resolving legal disputes", organized by the Mediation Center, Odesa University of Internal Affairs, the South Ukrainian Board of Mediators together with the European Union Civil Security Reform Advisory Mission. As a result of intensive, highly effective and practice-oriented training, teachers gained knowledge and skills in the theory of mediation, administrative, civil and criminal mediation, which will allow for effective implementation in educational and practical activities.
