On May 26, 2020, the Department of Educational Management and Public Administration of Ushynsky University joined the Round Table "Five Years of Decentralization: Looking Forward" within the Science Festival, where the issues of formation and current implementation of decentralization policy in Ukraine were discussed.

May 18 and 25, 2020, Ushynsky University hosted an online school of pedagogical skills "Office 365: testing program learning outcomes of higher education", organized and conducted by the joint efforts of the Regional Information and Resource Center for Professional Development of Socionomic Leaders and Specialists, Center for Social political research "Politicus" and the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics of the University.

Li Yutsi, a student of the Faculty of Music and Choreography of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky, won the second degree in the category "Instrumental Genre (Piano)" at the International Festival-Competition of Arts "FEST MUSIC 2020", which took place on May 22-24, 2020 year in Chornomorsk.

On the third Thursday in May, Ukrainians traditionally celebrate Vyshyvanka Day. Thus, on May 21, 2020, the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Primary Education, Faculty of Philology of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky within the celebration of this event prepared a thematic exhibition and video presentation "Ukrainian traditional embroidery of the Northern Black Sea Coast".
